I absolutely LOVE this restaurant... the food is amazing, so tasty and the staff and owners make it such a great experience! My hubby had linguini carbonara and I had lobster ravioli, DELICIOUS, and generous portions at decent prices! Going back for sure!

Well, you certainly cannot beat the service, and there is no way to deny the fresh pastas and wood fired pizzas - just ask the locals!

My husband and I had an amazing dinner tonight at Matteo's. Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Welland. The service and food all top notch which created the perfect dining experience. Will definitely be back.

Well let me start with the service was excellent. The prices of your entree are to high .They dont serve complimentary salads with there meals and the bread they serve you our about the size of a quarter every thing is extra the entree are excellent they serve you very small portions . First time there was not impress..will not be going to eat there anymore.

Best gnocchi I've ever had. Everything we had was incredibly fresh and delicious. This is my new favorite restaurant. Treat yourself and go, you won't be disappointed. Reservations are best

My only complaint which guided my rating of 4 stars not 5 is that their mussels were a bit chewy but the rest of the meal, pasta etc was very good.

We have been going to Matteo's since it opened. Matt, and his Staff continue to deliver incredible food, time, and time again. Matt's passion and focus is second to none. Everything from Pizza's, Pasta's, Italian dishes, Daily Specials, Special Events, FANTASTIC!!! Matteo's, truly is a tremendous addition to the Niagara Region Restaurants, and quite frankly, in my opinion is One of The Best!! Hands Down!!!!!

Fantastic service with great food. Mediterranean cuisine served with a smile. Prices were very fair . Wood oven baked pizza. Warm inviting cosy dining area. Good value for the food and service. If you are in down town Welland, well worth the visit.

Was there for breakfast and it was not good they charge you $2 to put onions on your home fríes. The coffee was cold and the service was horrible.

I could die for those gnocchis!! The owner is such a great chef and his wife and him are amazing host ! Everything on the menu is just perfect ! Portions are big and prices are very cheap compared to the high quality of the food.

What a wonderful cozy eatery. A local hotel clerk recommended Matteo’s several years ago when I was in the area on business. I was so impressed by the wood fired brick oven pizza and caprese salad that I have wanted to go back there ever since with my wife. We were in Niagara Falls this week and we drove to Welland for dinner at with my brother and his wife Wednesday evening. We each had something different and each agreed their meal was the best of that particular dish they ever tasted. Matteo himself explained the options to us and offered to modify the dish as we may desire. We so enjoyed the dinner that we went back last evening to try something different. My wife had the lasagna. She said it was amazing. I tasted it and have to agree. We live 5 hours south of Welland and Matteo’s will be our first stop if we are ever any where close to there again. Definitely worth the short 20 minute drive from the tourist traps in Niagara Falls.

Last night was the first time we experienced Matteo's in Welland. I highly recommend this place as the food was outstanding. We had Linguine pescatore and the quantity of of seafood was more than plentiful and cooked perfectly. I know from the chef that he makes his own sauce which was flavorful and had a great texture with just a bit of heat to it. Perfect for our tastes. And the Linguini itself was great. I do not know if he makes it fresh but it tasted fresh. The apps (salads and shrimp were very good) and the service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back and we must try the pizza too as every pizza that went by looked and smelled great. Nice to know that Welland has such a fine Italian restaurant, ie: high quality.

Weekend mornings is Matinas At Matteo's! It's a pop up breakfast/brunch restaurant. Amazing food at reasonable prices! Upscale menu and amazing weekly specials. Today was Banana Bread French Toast!

Great resturant, great cooking, and a great owner.! Deff recommended trying the stone oven pizzas! But there are many more amazing options!

this restaurant was a five star by the time the appetizers came. everything we had here was incredible, definitely will be back with more people. taste, and quality of ingredients is very important and this place nailed it.

Great food. Had a party of 11 and it took 1 1/2 hours to receive our food. Beautiful atmosphere and good service though.

Took out of town friends to dinner here. We were all very impressed with our meals. We all had something different. All meals arrived at the same time. All were freshly prepared and arrived hot. The staff are friendly, not over bearing and knowledgeable about all menu items. .

Best restaurant in town. Takes us 45 mins to get there but it is sooooo worth it. Would go every night if I could. Matt and Lisa are great hosts and the food is spectacular

One of Welland's better restaurants! The pizza, which is amazing, is cooked in a wood-fired oven. You can tell by the way the owner prepares the dishes that he really cares about what he's serving to his customers.If you're going on a Friday or a weekend, make sure you make reservations otherwise there's a good chance you won't be eating there! I learned this the hard way lol

The staff and atmosphere are very welcoming. The wine selection complements the menu perfectly and the food, the food was to die for! Freshly made and hot off the pan. I would highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the linguini carbonara. Call for reservations, it's a busy spot with limited seating.

One of the finest dining experiences Welland has to offer, Highly reccomend trying their bruschetta, pasta, paired with an excellent Pinot Grigio!

A little pricey for omelettes but very good
